Our ELMCC Food Drive Was One for the Books
More than a happy hour
Beyond the donations, the evening was simply a great time. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new ones, from fellow business owners to longtime residents to folks who just moved to the area. Events like this are a reminder of why we love doing business here. Lake Minnetonka isn’t just a beautiful place to live; it’s a community that shows up for each other.
A heartfelt thank you to the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce for partnering with us, to everyone who donated, and to every guest who came out to celebrate with us.Â
There’s still time to support the ELMCC Food Drive
If you missed the event or want to add to the total, we’re collecting food donations through the end of September. Drop off non-perishable items at our office between 10am and 4pm M-TH.
What a night! On September 15, our community came together for the ELMCC After Hours Food Drive and Happy Hour, and we’re still smiling about it. We knew our neighbors had big hearts, but you truly outdid yourselves.
By the numbers
Here’s what we accomplished together in a single evening:
- Almost $4,000 raised to help families in our area put food on the table
- 430 pounds of food collected, and still counting
- More than 80 guests, a record turnout for this event
Those numbers represent real meals for real neighbors. Every can, every box, and every dollar will go toward making sure the families in our community have what they need, especially as we head into the colder months when that need tends to grow.
